The MuVE research project investigates how visitors engage with art in the museum context. Combining mobile eye-tracking with targeted questionnaires, it examines three interconnected dimensions of the visitor’s experience: 1. what moves the eye, exploring how visitors visually engage with artworks; 2. what moves us, focusing on interest, emotional engagement, value, memory, and individual differences in art appreciation; and 3. how we move, considering how visitors physically and spatially interact with the exhibition.

Together, these perspectives provide a multifaceted understanding of how visual, emotional, and embodied processes shape our experience of art and of its spaces.
